Newcastle and Aston Villa ‘to scout’ Gabriel Sara at Istanbul derby | OneFootball

Newcastle United and Aston Villa are monitoring Galatasaray midfielder Gabriel Sara, Sporx reports.

Scouts from both clubs are expected at Rams Park on 26 April for the Istanbul derby to assess him and compile detailed reports for a possible summer move.

Galatasaray are understood to value the Brazilian at €30 million and are not inclined to consider offers below that figure.

Since arriving in Türkiye, Sara has been a pivotal presence in midfield, drawing praise for his technical quality, work rate and control of the game’s rhythm.

His previous spell with Norwich City adds to his appeal for Premier League sides seeking a player who can adapt quickly to the demands of the division.

With the derby looming, focus will be on Sara as Galatasaray aim to defend their position at the top of the table.
