Goncalo Ramos’ time with PSG could be dwindling with the summer transfer window on the horizon. Moreover, if Ramos were to play for Portugal and perform well at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, his transfer market could shoot up.

During his time with the French giants, Ramos has been a terrific super sub, but could never lock down a starting role under manager Luis Enrique. As a result, it makes sense that he might want to look at his options elsewhere and look for regular minutes as a starter.

Where could that be? The Portuguese standout’s next move might likely see him head to the Premier League.

Newcastle United are eyeing up a summer move to bolster their attack with Ramos, according to Football Insider. It’s been a tough season for the Magpies, and things haven’t really turned in their favor.

With just two matches left, they sit 13th in the table and now look likely to miss out on European football next season. As a result, improving their attack would be ideal. Despite not getting regular minutes as a starter, the 24-year-old has recorded 12 goals and two assists in 42 appearances.

Furthermore, Transfermarkt has put Ramos’ transfer value at €35 million. Speaking to Football Insider, journalist Pete O’Rourke shared an update on the situation, revealing that PSG are ready to accept an offer allowing him to leave.

O’Rourke also reports that Newcastle will make a move if they receive any encouragement from the player.

“Yeah, he could be a potential target for Newcastle. It does look like PSG would be open to letting Ramos leave in the summer transfer window,” O’Rourke said. “He’s not been a regular starter for Luis Enrique’s side… he’s not even started one Champions League game this season.

“Newcastle have had a long-term admiration for Ramos. They considered signing him when he was at Benfica before he moved to PSG. We do fully expect Newcastle to be in the market for striker reinforcements in the summer transfer window.

“If they get any indication that Ramos could be prised away from the Parc de Princes and that he’s interested in a move to the Premier League, I’m sure they’ll be one of the clubs who would be interested.”
