Newcastle sign Ajax prospect Sean Steur on five-year deal to 2031 | OneFootball

Newcastle completed the signing of 18-year-old Ajax midfielder Sean Steur on Thursday, handing him a five-year contract to 2031. The Dutch club indicated the fee could reach €27m.

He becomes their third addition of the summer, after Ewen Jaouen for a Ligue 2 record €28.5m and Bazoumana Touré for €50m.

Steur joined Ajax at the age of seven and has already played in the Eredivisie and the Champions League.

He is a Netherlands Under-19 international.

He regards the Premier League as the best league in the world and believes it is very difficult to turn down a club like Newcastle.
