Joe Willock and Jacob Murphy are two high-profile players Newcastle United are prepared to sell this summer if they get the right offers, according to The Times.
Newcastle manager Eddie Howe is preparing for a potential exodus at the St James’ Park club as many as eight Magpies stars could be bidding farewell at the club’s final home game of the season against West Ham on Sunday.
Murphy has played 44 games for the Toons across all competitions this term, weighing in with four goals and five assists.
Willock has made 37 appearances, with one goal and two assists to his name.
Both have been key players for Newcastle in recent seasons and this term but could be on their way out as the club look to raise funds for a much-needed squad overhaul.
Anthony Gordon is close to agreeing a five-year deal with Bayern Munich, but both clubs are around £20 million apart in their valuation of the 25-year-old England international attacker.
The Magpies are holding out for £75m, while the Germans’ initial valuation for the winger is around £55m.
Defensive duo Kieran Trippier and Emil Krafth will leave Newcastle at the end of the season, while Aaron Ramsdale will return to Southampton at the end of his loan spell.
The Magpies could also sell 34-year-old first-choice goalkeeper Nick Pope as they look to significantly lower the average age of their squad.
20-year-old Reims goalkeeper Ewen Jaouen, who has reportedly reached an agreement in principle to join Newcastle, has emerged as his potential replacement.
The Frenchman visited the Magpies’ facilities two weeks ago and the club are in talks with Reims over a deal worth in the excess of €20m.
Fabian Schar is out of contract at the end of the season and is expected to move on too.
