Evans has plenty of experience at the very top level. After starting out at Cardiff City LFC, Evans has gone on to appear for Yeovil Town, Bristol City, Reading, Manchester United and Liverpool in the Barclays Women’s Super League. She has close to 150 appearances to her name in the English top flight.

On the international stage, Evans has been capped by Wales on 90 occasions while she has scored two goals for her country.

After joining Newcastle United, Evans said “I’m happy this move is finally over the line. I’m over the moon, I’m looking forward to meeting the girls, meeting the fans and showing them what I can do.

“I think it’s a really exciting project to be part of and I can’t wait to get going.”

Evans is Newcastle United’s second signing of the summer transfer window.
