Newcastle United ‘table’ £30.2m bid for Sunderland-linked Victor Muñoz | OneFootball

Newcastle United have lodged a bid of around £30.2 million plus add-ons for CA Osasuna winger Victor Muñoz, who has been linked with Sunderland. El Chiringuito TV reports that the 22-year-old is very keen on the approach, although his release clause is understood to stand at £34.6 million. Any renewed Sunderland move could therefore face direct competition from their rivals.

The Spaniard has been a recurring name on Sunderland’s radar in recent months, with some reports suggesting a failed attempt to sign him in January.

Attention also turns to Örgryte IS defender Michael Parker, with Rudy Galetti reporting growing interest across Europe. Sunderland, Newcastle and Brentford are named in the Premier League, with FC Copenhagen, Eintracht Frankfurt, Sturm Graz, Red Bull Salzburg and Sporting CP also credited.

Parker, 21, joined the Swedish side from West Brom in February and has impressed early. He could be available this summer for around £2.6 million to £4.3 million.

Meanwhile, Joel Mendez reports that Sunderland, Fulham and Leeds United are looking at Sevilla winger Chidera Ejuke, while Bayer Leverkusen are monitoring from Germany. Any move for the 28-year-old could cost about £3.5 million as he enters the final year of his contract.
