Neymar trained on Thursday as Santos began preparations for Sunday’s derby with Corinthians at Vila Belmiro in the sixth round of the Campeonato Brasileiro, kick-off 16:00 Brasília time.

According to Globo.com, the forward worked with the ball alongside team-mates who were substitutes or not involved on Tuesday. Santos drew 2-2 at Mirassol’s Estádio Maião.

While the recent starters stayed inside CT Rei Pelé for recovery work, Neymar took part in a technical session on the pitch.

Coach Juan Pablo Vojvoda received encouraging news on Luan Peres. The centre-back suffered a sprain to his left ankle in the previous match and remained in the gym with the other starters. He left Tuesday’s game only with cramps, his ankle will be assessed day by day, and he should be available for the weekend.

Midfielder Zé Rafael is the only player in the treatment room as he continues therapy for oedema in the right semimembranosus muscle. Santos, on five points in the league, will train again on Friday afternoon when Vojvoda begins tactical preparation for the derby.
