Nico Guillén called up as Sevilla seek lifeline against Real Sociedad | OneFootball

Nico Guillén, 18, has been named in Sevilla’s 26-man squad for Monday’s visit of Real Sociedad to the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán, with the hosts fighting for their lives.

Head coach Luis García Plaza has called up all available players and will cut three before kick-off.

Guillén operates as an organising midfielder and comes in to help cover the absence of Djibril Sow, suspended, and Manu Bueno, injured. Azpilicueta is the other notable inclusion, although Luis García Plaza said he will not start.

A Sevilla academy product since his pre-teen years, Guillén is a Spain Under-18 international. He was named in October 2025 among the 60 leading prospects born in 2008 by The Guardian, and has been tracked by Real Madrid and Barcelona.
