Nicolas Jackson speaks out after leaving Chelsea

Nicolas Jackson, loaned out by Chelsea to Bayern Munich, has finally broken his silence on his departure from the London club.

The Senegalese striker joined the Bundesliga champions on a season-long loan after falling down the pecking order under Enzo Maresca at Stamford Bridge. In an interview with TuttoSport, Jackson revealed that he has no regrets about his decision to leave Chelsea:

I have no regrets, only gratitude for the time I spent at Chelsea. (...) There were a lot of strong emotions, but not for the reasons people might think. I was just really happy to sign for one of the biggest clubs in the world, to discover another league, and to play alongside great players.

He also spoke about the sadness of leaving his teammates and the Blues supporters:

At the same time, I was a bit sad to leave Chelsea, my teammates, and the fans. Football is full of cycles. I respect Maresca, I learned a lot from him, he has his own ideas and his own style.

The Senegalese forward now hopes to make his mark quickly in the Bundesliga and to enjoy a successful season with Bayern Munich.
