Nicole Ramos returned to the starting line-up as Corinthians began their Brasileirão Feminino campaign with a 1-0 win over Atlético Mineiro at Arena MRV in Belo Horizonte on Friday.
According to Meu Timao, it was her first start since the 2025 Copa Libertadores final, almost four months ago.
Corinthians faced América de Cali, the match finished 0-0 in normal time before a 5-3 shootout win. Ramos made crucial saves and fractured her little finger during the game. After the medical team immobilised the area and medicated her, she played the penalties and helped secure the title.
Subsequent exams found a complete rupture in the central band of the fifth-finger extensor. She underwent surgery, then returned in the Supercopa do Brasil final when Lelê suffered a head clash and was replaced under the concussion protocol. Corinthians lost that final 5-4 on penalties and finished runners-up.
Before the setback, Ramos had displaced Lelê as first choice and delivered consistent numbers. She has 50 appearances for Corinthians, with 32 wins, 13 draws and five defeats, a 72.67% return. Her honours include two Brasileirão and two Libertadores titles in 2024 and 2025.
Corinthians play Fluminense on Friday 20 at 21:30 at Neo Química Arena in the second round of the Brasileirão Feminino.
