Nnamdi Collins is unlikely to feature again for Eintracht Frankfurt this season, with the defender set for ankle surgery.

According to BuLi News, the 22-year-old injured his ankle against Mainz before the international break, and head coach Albert Riera outlined the situation on Friday.

“It will be difficult for him to feature in the remaining games,” Riera said.

“Maybe a miracle will happen, but he needs surgery. It will be very difficult.”

Rasmus Kristensen, Jean-Mattéo Bahoya and goalkeeper Kauã Santos are also unavailable for Sunday’s Bundesliga meeting with 1. FC Köln.
