This could be Stephan El Shaarawy’s final season with Roma.

The Giallorossi number 92 was used by Gian Piero Gasperini in the 2-0 win against Sassuolo following a severe concussion suffered by Evan Ferguson, who was forced to be substituted in the 39th minute.

On the contractual front, negotiations for the player’s contract renewal have not yet resulted in an agreement between the player and the Giallorossi.

This uncertainty has attracted the interest of De Rossi’s Genoa, who are seriously considering bringing the Italian winger back on a free transfer starting next July.

According to Nicolò Schira, the Ligurian club has already prepared a structured offer for El Shaarawy, with a contract until 2028 and an option for 2029, thus guaranteeing him long-term stability.

The coming weeks will be crucial to determine whether this will be El Shaarawy’s last season with the Giallorossi.
