FC Bayern will not only be focusing on the big transfer issues for the professionals this summer. There could also be permanent changes for several loaned talents. Lovro Zvonarek in particular is currently facing a landmark decision
The 21-year-old Croatian was loaned out to Grasshoppers Zurich last season, where he was able to gain important experience in professional soccer. The attacking midfielder made a particularly strong impression in terms of his play
Zvonarek played a total of 31 competitive games for the Swiss side, scoring six times and becoming an important factor in the Grasshoppers‘ game despite an injury in the meantime. His flexible role in midfield was particularly noticeable, as he often played deeper than in previous years

As the Croatian portal Germanijak reports, HNK Rijeka are now specifically looking at signing the Bayern talent, with the Croatian first division club said to be very interested in a summer transfer
Zvonarek moved to Munich from Slaven Belupo in 2022 for around €1.8 million and was considered one of Croatia’s most exciting attacking talents at the time. At FC Bayern, however, he mainly played in the second team
The technically strong midfielder has only made five appearances for the professionals so far, but despite his great potential, it looks like he will struggle to make the leap into the Bayern squad in the long term
For this reason, there are currently many indications that a permanent transfer could be the most sensible solution for both sides. FC Bayern would still be able to generate a transfer fee in the event of a sale
How high this could ultimately turn out to be, however, also depends on whether other interested parties join Rijeka in the poker game
One thing is clear: Zvonarek’s chances of finding a real future with the record champions currently seem rather slim, so a new start in his home country could be the next logical step in his development.
