No Garnacho for Roma & Napoli as Argentine joins Aston Villa on loan | OneFootball

Alejandro Garnacho is set to complete a move to Aston Villa on loan with a conditional obligation to buy, putting an end to speculation linking the Chelsea winger with a move to Serie A.

Roma and Napoli, alongside Milan, had all been linked with the former Manchester United forward but his wage demands always felt like a hurdle for the Italian clubs.

Now, according to David Ornstein of The Athletic, Villa have agreed a deal to sign Garnacho from Chelsea.

Villa agree Garnacho deal as Serie A clubs miss out

Ornstein confirms that a medical is already complete and the winger is in Birmingham to sign the final paperwork. When the deal becomes permanent, the Argentine will sign a four-year contract.

Roma, in particular, now face consecutive days of transfer blows, with Crysencio Summerville nearing a big-money move to Al-Hilal whilst Garnacho now joins Aston Villa.
