Noel Futkeu to return to Eintracht | OneFootball

The 23-year-old forward will move back to Frankfurt from Greuther Fürth for the start of the 2026/27 season after Eintracht activated their buy-back clause.

Noel Futkeu first joined the Eagles in summer 2023, having finished as 30-goal top scorer in Germany’s fifth tier with SW Essen. The centre-forward primarily featured for Eintracht’s U21 side in the south-west Regionalliga (fourth division), registering 16 goals and eight assists.

The 23-year-old Essen native then made his breakthrough in the professional game at Bundesliga 2 outfit SpVgg Greuther Fürth. Since his arrival in July 2024, he’s recorded 26 goals and eight assists in 65 competitive games for the Clover Leaves. Futkeu is second in the division’s scoring chart this season with 15 goals. 

Eintracht board member for sport Markus Krösche: “Noel has developed very well in Fürth. Getting regular playing time in the second division has clearly done him a lot of good, both as a player and as a person. We’re delighted that he’s returning to us at the end of the season.”
