Norway will take on Senegal at the New York Stadium on Tuesday in their second Group I fixture of the tournament.
The Norwegian side is in outstanding form, having lost only once in the past two years. Their World Cup qualification campaign was particularly impressive, as they scored 37 goals across just eight matches. They carried that momentum into their first game of the tournament, beating Iraq 4–1 with Erling Haaland scoring twice.
Although their earlier friendly matches against Switzerland and the Netherlands produced mixed results, the team now appears confident and well-organized.
Norway heads into this match with a fully fit squad and strong morale.
Head coach Ståle Solbakken has no new injury or suspension concerns following the convincing win over Iraq.
Given their strong performance, the manager is expected to stick with the same starting lineup.
Erling Haaland, who scored a brace in the opener, will once again lead the attack alongside Alexander Sørloth.
Martin Ødegaard, the Arsenal midfielder and team captain, will continue to control play from the center of the pitch.
At the back, Kristoffer Ajer and Torbjørn Heggem are likely to retain their positions as the central defensive pairing.
This means Leo Østigård may remain on the bench despite scoring late in the previous match. Overall, the Norwegian team looks settled, fit, and ready for the challenge.
Possible Norway starting XI: Nyland; Ryerson, Heggem, Ajer, Wolfe; Odegaard, Berge, Aursnes; Sorloth, Haaland, Nusa
The match will kick off at 1am BST on Tuesday, 23rd June.
