FLW's Norwich fan pundit shares their thoughts on the club's links to Leeds United winger Largie Ramazani

Norwich City will be spending next season in the Championship after a rollercoaster of a season, and will be hoping to continue their good momentum under Philippe Clement through the summer transfer window and into the next campaign.

Indeed, Norwich's season is a tale of two halves.

Liam Manning was brought in around this time last year, having just guided Bristol City to 6th in the Championship, ending the Robins' 17-year wait for a play-off place in the second tier, with the hopes he could do similar at Carrow Road.

However, it wasn't to be, as Manning would endure a torrid run of form, with the Canaries languishing in the relegation zone at the time of Clement's arrival.

The Belgian boss would win 19 of his first 34 games in charge, sending the Canaries flying up the league table, with January arrivals Mohamed Toure and Ali Ahmed crucial to those efforts.

Having already shown his capability in the transfer window, Norwich fans will be backing Clement to do similar this upcoming summer, and have been linked with a swoop for a Championship-winning winger.

Norwich City have been linked with a move for Belgian winger Largie Ramazani

Largie Ramazani joined Leeds United in the summer of 2024 for around €11 million (£9.5 million) off the back of four seasons with Almeria in Spain, where he would score 22 and assist seven in 128 appearances.

Previously at Manchester United as a youngster, Ramazani, 25, struggled to make an impact at Elland Road, contending for a place on the wing alongside the likes of Wilfried Gnonto, Manor Solomon, and Dan James, being limited to just 783 league minutes across 29 appearances, scoring six and assisting twice despite his lack of game time.

He would move back to Spain with Valencia on loan at the beginning of the campaign following Leeds' promotion, linking up with former West Bromwich Albion boss Carlos Corberan, where he made 27 La Liga appearances, scoring six and assisting once.

Now, the Belgian looks set to return to England this summer, as, according to the Pink Un, Norwich have outlined the attacker as a potential target over the coming months.

Football League World's Norwich fan pundit, Zeke, has shared his thoughts on the club's links to Ramazani and whether he is a player they would like to see at Carrow Road next season.

Zeke said: "I think that would be a really decent signing to make.

"He has a nice amount of experience. He's worked under Daniel Farke already, so I'm sure that he's had a really good learning experience under him, and yeah, I think he's exactly the type of winger that we would want. A bit more direct and runs at his man a little bit more than what we have right now, I think, which is what we are needing and looking for.

"I think it's a little bit pricey, so I don't know whether that will happen in terms of the price, but having a player with experience in the league will be useful, and I'd rather spend the money on that rather than spending loads of money on a player who doesn't have any experience in the league, like we have done many times.

Philippe Clement must prioritise wide attacking options this summer at Norwich City amid Largie Ramazani links

Heading into the summer, Clement will have a clear idea of where he must focus on improving the Norwich squad during the window, and it would be a surprise if wide attacking options weren't high up on the list of priorities.

Each of Matej Jurasek, Ante Crnac and Pape Diallo has struggled with injuries across the campaign, leaving the club thin on options at various stages, whilst Tony Springett is set to leave the club following his contract expiring.

Ali Ahmed's introduction in January helped to lift the load and ease pressure, but competition in those areas is certainly something Clement must be considering, and is seemingly doing so with Ramazani.

A compatriot of Clement, having a first-hand opinion on Norwich from Daniel Farke, and knowing what it takes to get out of this division, a deal for Ramazani makes a great deal of sense, though whether the Canaries can match Leeds' asking price, having paid €11 million (£9.5 million) just two years ago, remains to be seen.
