Before the break, Anthony Patterson kept the game goalless with smart saves from Mathias Kvistgaarden and Kenny McLean. Vladan Kovacevic then denied Camiel Neghli soon after the restart as the Canaries stayed in it.

After half time changes, Mohamed Touré transformed the Canaries' attack, setting up Pelle Mattsson to rifle into the top right from outside the box (62.). Play was then halted for Kellen Fisher's injury before Benjamin Chrisene came on (67.). Oscar Schwartau, another substitute, finished Touré's break to turn it around (76.).

The Lions registered 10 attempts, with two on target, and had 46.7% of the ball. The Canaries produced 12 attempts, five on target, with 53.3% possession.

The Lions remain second and visit West Bromwich Albion next. The Canaries host Ipswich Town next.
