Red Star’s Balthazar Pierret (26) is the subject of strong interest from two EFL Championship clubs: Norwich City and Middlesbrough, according to a report from Sacha Tavolieri.
Pierret only joined Ligue 2 club Red Star from Lecce back in January for a fee of €100k. Just 14 appearances later and the midfielder could be set for a move across the Channel, Tavolieri understands.
Middlesbrough have already submitted a bid for the Frenchman. That offer, worth an estimated €300k, has been rejected by Red Star. The Ligue 2 club are holding out for a fee of €500k.
Norwich City are also in the race and their manager, Philippe Clement, has already reached out to Pierret. It is Clement who is leading the Canaries’ approach for the midfielder. Neither Norwich City nor Middlesbrough have an agreement in place with Pierret. They will only do so once an agreement has been struck with Red Star.
