The Canaries have won three of their last five, including a 2-1 victory over Sheffield United on Wednesday. Preston are winless in five, losing four in that run, including a 3-0 defeat at Coventry.

The Canaries list several injuries, including Shane Duffy and Jeffrey Schlupp, while forwards Ante Crnac and Jovon Makama are sidelined. Goalkeeper Daniel Grimshaw and defender Ruairi McConville are out until 19 March. Preston are without Callum Lang and Lewis Gibson.

The Canaries tend to see more of the ball, averaging 52% possession with 80.12% pass accuracy and a high volume of open-play crosses, so width could be a route in. Preston have won 757 aerial duels and made 1,249 clearances, suggesting they are equipped to deal with deliveries into the box. Neither side has scored from a set piece in the league, so open-play combinations and shots from range may matter. For Preston, Lewis Dobbin has supplied five assists.

A win would move the Canaries to 51 points and could lift them above their visitors. Preston would reach 52 points with victory and may edge closer to the top half.
