Liverpool talent Kieran Morrison is not being chased by Dutch Eredivisie outfit Groningen.
The teenager, who can play across multiple positions in midfield, has impressed for the Reds in the pre-season, scoring his first senior goal.
While the Merseyside giants see him as a player with huge potential, they do not see him as an extensive part of manager Andoni Iraola’s immediate plans.
Morrison could well be allowed to depart Anfield on a temporary move to further develop his skills.
He has recently been linked with a move to Eredivisie outfit Groningen, who are in the market for a player of a similar profile to the Reds talent.

However, according to Dutch journalist Stefan Bleeker, talk that Groningen want to sign Liverpool’s Morrison is ‘not true’.
Groningen currently have no interest in signing the 19-year-old Reds player.
Morrison played for Liverpool in pre-season games against Sunderland, Wrexham, Leeds United and Monaco.
It remains to be seen where Liverpool look to place Morrison and whether that might be within English football or by sanctioning a move abroad.

Morrison, who Liverpool signed from the youth ranks of rivals Manchester United, has been capped at senior international level by Northern Ireland.
His debut for Northern Ireland came in an international friendly against Guinea and making sure he is in line to feature more often for his country will likely be high up in his thinking and require regular games this season.
Liverpool have decisions to make over a number of young players over the coming week as they try to arrange loan moves.
