Nottingham Forest agree deal for Malick Fofana | OneFootball

Nottingham Forest have reached an agreement with Olympique Lyon to sign winger Malick Fofana, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The 20-year-old has been a key target for several top European clubs following an impressive season in France.

Fofana bagged 11 goals and six assists in 41 matches last season. He is effective on both flanks.

His speed, dribbling and direct style make him a threat in one-on-one situations.

Despite his attacking qualities, he still has room to improve in terms of defensive work and positioning.

Fofana is also wanted by Bayern and Napoli

Nuno Espirito Santo is looking to improve his squad after Forest finished seventh in the Premier League.

They earned a place in the Europa Conference League next season.

The club attempted to sign Timothy Weah and Samuel Mbangula from Juventus, but the moves collapsed.

Chelsea and Liverpool have previously been linked with the Belgian. Bayern Munich and Napoli have also contacted Fofana’s representatives.

They are monitoring the situation and could still make a move.

Forest will need to convince the player to join, especially with interest from clubs who can offer Champions League football.
