Nottingham Forest have paused contract talks with head coach Vitor Pereira, with plans to revisit the situation once the new season is under way.
According to Nottingham Post, discussions were put on hold as it was felt now was not the right moment, with the intention to resume once the new campaign begins, and both club and coach remain keen on an extension.
Pereira, 57, arrived in February as the club's fourth head coach of a challenging season and quickly made his mark.
Forest secured Premier League survival with two matches to spare under his watch, and he also guided the Reds to the Europa League semi-finals.
Initial conversations about a longer deal took place towards the end of the season, and Pereira has 12 months left on his current contract.
He has previously suggested reaching an agreement should not be difficult. Murillo signed a new deal in May, while Forest are believed to be keen to tie Neco Williams down, and Ibrahim Sangare and Nicolas Dominguez have also been linked with fresh terms.
