Lina Souloukou has left her position as Nottingham Forest chief executive, the latest change in the club hierarchy, the club said in a statement on Friday.

The former Roma chief took the role in January 2025 and will not continue beyond this summer. She has previously held influence at Olympiacos and Rio Ave within Evangelos Marinakis’s football group.

Souloukou, 42, had been among the highest-ranking women in executive roles in English football.

Her departure adds to exits over the past year, including chief football officer Ross Wilson, who joined Newcastle United in October, and Craig Mulholland, who moved to the Scottish Football Association last month. Finance director Tom Bonser has gone to Fulham, and confirmation of global head of football Edu’s departure is expected in the coming weeks.

An almost immediate fallout between Edu and then head coach Nuno Espirito Santo was a factor in Edu’s exit. Vitor Pereira became the fourth man in the dugout, after short tenures for Ange Postecoglou and Sean Dyche.

Restructuring is now required at the City Ground in the coming months.

Souloukou’s exit leaves Crystal Palace’s Sharon Lacey as the only woman serving as a Premier League club CEO, though chairman Steve Parish usually represents Palace at league board meetings. Other notable departures in recent seasons include Karren Brady, Donna-Maria Cullen, Marina Granovskaia and Amanda Staveley.
