Nottingham Forest 'make enquiries' for Belgium's World Cup centre-back | OneFootball

Nottingham Forest have been linked with Arthur Theate, the Belgium centre-back currently at the World Cup.

According to Nottingham Post, Forest and Bournemouth have made enquiries for the 26-year-old, who is likely to feature for the Red Devils in Group G against Egypt, Iran and New Zealand.

The left-sided defender is with Eintracht Frankfurt. He progressed at Oostende after time in the youth ranks at Genk and Standard Liege, then spent three years with Rennes before a loan and subsequent permanent move to the Bundesliga club.

Since arriving in Germany he has made 75 appearances, including 33 last season when Eintracht exited the Champions League at the group stage after one win in eight.

Theate also played 24 league matches as Eintracht finished eighth, missing out on Europe next season. He has three years remaining on his contract.
