Nottingham Forest sign former Newcastle United forward Hayles | OneFootball

Nottingham Forest have completed the signing of forward Shania Hayles on a free transfer.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Tricky Trees this morning.

The 26-year-old joins Nottingham Forest after leaving former club Newcastle United earlier this summer. She has signed a one-year deal at The City Ground. Hayles spent two years with Newcastle United in which she made 44 appearances for the club in all competitions, scoring 20 goals.

The forward started her senior career at Birmingham City before joining Aston Villa where she won promotion to the Barclays Women’s Super League. The player repeated the feat with her next club, Bristol City. Hayles has close to 200 appearances under her belt in the professional game.

After sealing her move to Nottingham Forest, Hayles said “I’m buzzing. It’s nice to be back home and I can’t wait to get going.

“I’m excited to meet the fans and to play in front of them at The City Ground. This is a massive Club with a lot of history and there is a lot of ambition to get promotion. I want to get started, to enjoy my football, score goals, and I believe this is the environment for me to do that.”

Hayles is Nottingham Forest’s sixth signing of the summer transfer window.
