Vitor Pereira has confirmed his Nottingham Forest XI for today’s Premier League meeting with Aston Villa, a pivotal fixture in their relegation battle.
Nottingham Post reports that Forest remain just above the drop zone with seven matches left. West Ham United moved level on points by beating Wolverhampton Wanderers on Friday. Tottenham Hotspur are two points behind those two clubs, while Leeds United sit one point ahead.
Forest resumed after the international break with a 1-1 draw away to Porto on Thursday, keeping their Europa League hopes alive. The return is at the City Ground next week, part of a run of three straight home games starting this afternoon. After Villa and Porto, Burnley visit next weekend.
Balancing the schedule is testing Pereira, who rested several key players in midweek and turned to fringe options in Portugal. He has made nine changes from Thursday night, with Murillo and Morgan Gibbs-White the only players to keep their places.
Murillo partners Nikola Milenkovic at centre-back, with Ola Aina and Neco Williams completing the back four in front of goalkeeper Matz Sels. Ibrahim Sangare and Elliot Anderson anchor midfield. Omari Hutchinson and Callum Hudson-Odoi support Gibbs-White behind striker Igor Jesus.
Chris Wood, back from a six-month knee lay-off in midweek, is on the bench. He is joined by Stefan Ortega, Morato, Dan Ndoye, Nicolas Dominguez, Ryan Yates, James McAtee, Luca Netz and Dilane Bakwa.
