Nottingham Forest ‘to table’ €20m for Jan Ziolkowski, deal said to be close | OneFootball

Nottingham Forest are said to be closing in on their first signing of the window involving Roma defender Jan Ziolkowski.

Siamolaroma reports that Forest have put a €20m bid on the table for the 21-year-old, seen as a priority target, with talks with his agents expected in the coming hours, and that Roma want the deal wrapped up before 30 June.

Ziolkowski joined Roma from Legia Warsaw last August for a reported €6m. After 23 appearances, any fee could be more than triple that figure.

He featured in Serie A and the Europa League last season, and won his first three international caps for Poland.

Forest have options at centre back, with Murillo recently signing a new long-term contract and Nikola Milenkovic his regular partner. Morato also featured regularly last season, and they have been linked with Belgium international Arthur Theate.
