Nottingham Forest winger Jota Silva (26) is set to leave the City Ground after just over a year, with Besiktas finalising a deal to bring the Portuguese forward to Turkey. According to Fabrizio Romano, the move has been agreed on loan for around €3 million, with a €17m option to buy that could become mandatory.
Silva, 26, joined Forest from Vitória Guimarães in the summer of 2024 but failed to make a sustained impact in the Premier League. Despite featuring 31 times last season, he managed just 840 minutes of action and scored three goals. This term, he has played only 12 minutes.
Signed under compatriot Nuno Espírito Santo, Silva’s role was likely to diminish further with the new arrival of Postecoglou.
Silva is expected to complete his medical and finalise the transfer in the coming days, with the player set to travel to Turkey on Thursday night.
Besiktas’ next game will be at home to İstanbul Başakşehir.
