Oliver Glasner now knows the Nottingham Forest squad for the first half of the season after a measured window closed.

Schlager agreed a two-year deal, Benda a one-year contract with an option, and Gustavo Sa arrived from Famalicao then immediately joined Olympiacos on loan, the signing was not announced by Forest.

Elliot Anderson left for Manchester City for £116m, with Taiwo Awoniyi joining Coventry City for a reported £7m. Jota Silva and David Carmo moved to Olympiacos, with Silva initially on loan then understood to be permanent, and Carmo believed to be permanent and not announced by Forest. Boly, Ortega and Gunn departed at contract end.

Omari Hutchinson joined AC Milan on a season-long loan that includes a reported €40m option to buy. Morato moved to West Ham United on loan with an option to buy, while others left, including Eric da Silva Moreira to Excelsior, Dilane Bakwa to Lille, Tyler Bindon to Charlton Athletic and Zach Abbott to Southampton. In all, there were 16 departures.

Forest now turn to climbing the Premier League table, with further tweaks not possible until January.
