Fabrizio Romano has given Manchester United fans a large chunk hope in his latest update on Gianluigi Donnarumma.
The 26-year-old is coming off arguably the best season of his career, whether on a personal level thanks to his astonishing displays, or in terms of his achievements at club level, with Paris Saint-Germain finally lifting the Champions League they long craved.
However, the Italian has suddenly become one of the hottest topics on the market after failing to reach an agreement with PSG on a new contract. The Ligue 1 giants have already acquired Lucas Chevalier as a replacement and entrusted him with the No.1 role, while Donnarumma has been shockingly omitted from the squad.
This chaotic situation in Paris has been music to the ears of Man Utd who are in the market for a new goalkeeper, and have now set their sights on Donnarumma.
In the latest video posted on his YouTube channel, Romano delivered important updates on this front, reiterating his prediction regarding an exit before the end of the summer transfer window.
Hence, the Italian journalist firmly believes that Donnarumma will have a new club by the end of the month, and his ‘most likely destination’ is in the Premier League.

But while Romano identifies Man Utd as one of the main players in the race, he insists that INEOS must first offload one of their two goalkeepers, either their current No.1 Andre Onana or his understudy Altay Bayindir.
Moreover, MUFC must decide whether they want to pursue a world-class goalkeeper, or invest in a less celebrated profile like Senne Lammens who would cost less in terms of salary and transfer fee.
Nevertheless, it should be said that signing one of the finest goalkeepers in the world on a cut price is an opportunity not to be missed, so INEOS should certainly give their best shot on this particular front.
Romano also reveals that Bayern do appreciate the Euro 2020 hero, but they never made any concrete contact on this front, while Chelsea and Man City are unlikely to go after a shot-stopper this summer.
