Starting with FC Bayern Women's home game against 1. FC Nürnberg on Saturday, 28 March, the FC Bayern OBACHT concept will also take effect at the Campus - from that point on, a dedicated team will be on hand to deal with discrimination, harassment or conflict situations at every one of the Munich women's home games.
OBACHT is FC Bayern's awareness concept, which was developed by the club together with the Munich Fan Project, which is run by AWO München Stadt and fans from the Südkurve. It stands for a culture of watchfulness and respectful interaction and pursues the goal of enabling all people - regardless of origin, religion, identity, sexual orientation or gender - to enjoy a safer stadium experience. This goes hand in hand with consistently recognising, addressing and preventing discrimination, harassment, threats and other transgressive beahviour.
OBACHT always helps whenever someone feels uncomfortable, unsafe or overwhelmed in the venues or experiences a situation that crosses personal boundaries - for example in the event of discrimination or insults, harassment or pestering, conflicts and escalations, fear, panic or severe overstimulation. An OBACHT team member listens, reassures and, if necessary, accompanies the person to a protected safe space.
With its psychologically-trained pecialists, KIT-München of the ASB, or Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund München/Oberbayern e. V. (Workers' Samaritan Foundation of Munich/Upper Bavaria) acts as the OBACHT team.
The awareness team is easily reachable on matchdays, on site via QR codes at the entrances and in the hospitality area as well as by telephone on 0151 19551189. Fans are asked to act respectfully, not to leave affected persons on their own and to seek help via stewards, the fan support or directly via the awareness team. After the initial contact on a matchday, every affected person is then offered follow-up support. The acceptance of this offer and thus the disclosure of personal data lies entirely with the person concerned; nothing happens without active consent. The OBACHT team takes over or arranges further treatment on its own responsibility and independently of FC Bayern Munich.
OBACHT can also be contacted outside of matchdays - anonymously if desired - via email at obacht@fcbayern.com. This address has been set up exclusively for concerns relating to the issue of awareness; all incoming information is treated confidentially and read by a trained person.
FC Bayern does not tolerate transgressive, abusive or discriminatory behaviour. The club encourages its members, fans and employees to watch and listen, to be upstanding, to discuss and to disagree - to help and to stand up for each other. Respect and tolerance are core values of sport that FC Bayern is committed to. Together, the aim ist to establish a culture of watchfulness so all visitors can experience matches and events safely and without exclusion.
