Experienced goalkeeper Sarah-Lisa Dübel has joined ÖFB-Frauen Bundesliga’s SK Sturm Graz from SC Freiburg ahead of the 2026/27 season.
SK Sturm Graz had already added Sara Pavlović from ÖFB-Frauen Bundesliga champions Austria Wien. Alongside Pavlović and now Dübel they’ve added young talent Johanna Riedler from LUV Graz. Graz also boosted their offense by adding prolific goal-scorer Lillia Sopos to their side.
Dübel joins from SC Freiburg in the German Bundesliga and has previously represented SC Sand, Werder Bremen and Altach.
Speaking at her signing Dübel made it clear that Graz is a club not content with their third placed finish in the 2025/26 season. “I am very excited about the new challenge at Sturm.” The 28-year-old admitted. “The club stands for ambitious football and clear development. I am convinced that this is the right step for me. I want to contribute my qualities, continuously develop myself, and be successful together with this team.”
Sporting Director at SK Sturm Graz Michael Erlitz stressed the clubs belief that they’ve signed one of the best keepers available. “With Sarah-Lisa Dübel, we’re gaining a goalkeeper who proved several years ago that she’s among the best in her position in the Austrian Women’s Bundesliga” he clarified.

“I’m all the more pleased that she decided to join SK Sturm Graz after her time at SC Freiburg. With her quality, experience, and presence, she will give our team added stability and play an important role in our further development.” Erlitz summarised.
Graz will start the 2026/27 season in August with a home fixture against SCR Altach in the Frauen Bundesliga. It will be an exciting season in Austria as new champions Austria Wien look to defend their first ever title. With ambitious sides Sturm Graz, Rapid Wien, RB Salzburg all investing heavily in their sides and former perennial champions SKN St. Pölten looking to regain their title.
