Adli has definitely had a strange career path with the Rossoneri, as he joined the club from Bordeaux in 2021 and went from being a starter at times to being completely frozen out at other times.

The midfielder, who was on loan at Fiorentina last season, was not in the plans of Milan for the 2025/26 season and 10 days after the end of the transfer window in Italy, he finds himself in Saudi Arabia.

“Milan can confirm that Yacine Adli has made a permanent transfer to Al-Shabab Club. The Club would like to thank Yacine and wishes him all the best for his future personal and professional endeavours.”

Adli, who leaves for a reported €8m, wrote this on his Instagram:

“Rossoneri Family, I don’t know how to start this message because I have so much to tell you. Since I arrived in Milan i immediately fell in love with this club, of this team and of these colors. I’ve had some different moments, some were hard where I’ve had to grit my teeth and work hard but never forget all the amazing moments I’ve had in this shirt. To my teammates, I love you !I love you so much and wish the best for you and your families. This group is different and it has been an honor to be able to live every day with you. To the fans, thank you. Thank you for your tireless support and for all the joyful moments we have shared. They will always stay in my heart. I wish you all the best in the world. See you soon.”
