Alexandre Dujeux has been confirmed as the successor to Olivier Pantaloni at FC Lorient, the club confirmed on Tuesday. 

Pantaloni excelled in the role at the Moustoir. Having returned the club to Ligue 1 at the first time of asking, he then led them to a mid-table finish last season. Despite exceeding expectations, he did not renew his expiring deal, citing a perceived lack of trust. 

Dujeux has been on the market since leaving SCO Angers earlier this month. Having led the club back into Ligue 1, as Pantaloni did with Les Merlus, in his first season with Le Sco, Dujeux kept Angers in the top flight on a shoestring budget for two seasons before his exit. He emerged as the priority target after the Breton club missed out on Will Still, who is expected to be appointed at AJ Auxerre.

Dujeux has signed a two-year deal with Lorient. “Alexandre has shown that he knows how to make potential show,” said president Loic Féry in the press release.
