Official: Atletico Madrid confirm Lookman arrival from Atalanta | OneFootball

Atletico Madrid have announced that Ademola Lookman has arrived in the Spanish capital, and that he is set to become a new Atleti player pending the completion of his medical and contract signing.

Confirmed: Lookman in Spain to complete Atletico move

According to reports on Sunday, Atalanta will receive a guaranteed fee of €35m with bonuses of up to €5m.

The Nigeria international is expected to put pen to paper on a four-and-a-half year contract worth around €7m per season in wages.

“Atletico Madrid and Atalanta have agreed on the transfer of 28-year-old Nigeria international Ademola Lookman, who is already in Madrid. The agreement is pending the corresponding medical examination and the formalisation of his contract,” a statement from the club read on Sunday evening.

Lookman has been linked with a move away from Atalanta for much of the last 18 months, following his hat-trick in the 2024 Europa League final. He had been close to a move to Paris Saint-Germain later that year, and has more recently been linked with a switch to Fenerbahce.

He is now set to formalise his Atalanta exit at a total cost of €40m, which will make him the club’s fifth most valuable sale of all time, behind Rasmus Hojlund to Manchester United, Mateo Retegui to Al-Qadsiah, Teun Koopmeiners to Juventus and Cristian Romero to Tottenham.
