Official: Atta joins Fiorentina from Udinese | OneFootball

Fiorentina have signed Arthur Atta from Udinese on a permanent deal. The club said in a statement that the French midfielder arrives as Fabio Grosso shapes his squad.

Born in Rennes on 14 January 2003, Atta came into Italian football via Metz and broke through in Friuli. He emerged last season as one of Serie A’s promising young midfielders.

The 23-year-old made 36 appearances across Serie A and the Coppa Italia, scoring six and providing four assists. That contribution did not go unnoticed.

Juventus, Inter and Milan had been tracking him in recent weeks, making Fiorentina’s swoop a clear statement of intent.

It continues a busy window for the Viola. Radu Dragusin has arrived from Tottenham, Alex Jimenez is set to join from Bournemouth, and the club are adding reinforcements across the pitch as they prepare for a European campaign under Grosso.
