In preparation for the highly anticipated UEFA Champions League match against Brest on Tuesday, FC Barcelona has announced stringent security and control measures at the Montjuic, the club confirmed.

Given the classification of this fixture as ‘high risk’ by the Anti-Violence Commission, Barcelona is taking extra steps to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all fans.

What are these measures?

Key among these measures is the restriction on ticket sales to ensure only Barcelona supporters occupy the home sections.

Tickets are personalized with the holder’s name, and there’s a prohibition on wearing Brest-related attire outside designated visitor zones.

Additionally, ticket sales to IP addresses and credit cards from Brest’s home country have been blocked, with a clear message on the club’s website that tickets are for Barcelona fans only.

Only Brest fans with tickets issued directly by their club for the visitor section are allowed entry.

The club have urged fans without tickets not to make the journey to Montjuic, as no tickets will be available for purchase at the venue or through unofficial channels like tour operators.

Access to the stadium for visiting fans is limited to gate 10, opening two hours before kickoff, while other gates will open 90 minutes prior for home supporters.

Public transport is recommended for all attendees due to restricted vehicle access around the stadium, with special parking for motorcycles and no left-luggage facilities available.

FC Barcelona have also outlined accessibility arrangements for those with disabilities, ensuring a smooth experience for all.

It appears the Blaugrana are keen on avoiding the mess that once occurred in a UEFA Europa League game against Eintracht Frankfurt, where the opposition supporters took over the Camp Nou.
