Official: Barcelona announce first sale of the summer | OneFootball

La Liga giants Barcelona have early this week announced a permanent sale, the club’s first of the summer.

The player to have brought his Blaugrana chapter to a close, at least for the time being, is Àlex Valle.

Defender Valle for his part spent this past season plying his trade across a pair of loan stints.

The first came with Scottish heavyweights Celtic, before the 21-year-old cut short his time in Glasgow to link up with Cesc Fàbregas’ Como in January.

And those behind the scenes at the latter have evidently since been impressed by what they have seen from Valle.

This comes amid confirmation that the left-back has made the move to Italy on a permanent basis, after Como made the call to activate his buyout clause.

As per a statement across Barcelona’s website and social media platforms:

‘Como 1907 have exercised the buy out clause for Àlex Valle and as such the player is no longer tied to FC Barcelona. The cost of the operation is 6 million euros. The Club wishes the player all the best for the future both on and off the field.’
