Former Barcelona star Luis Suárez has this weekend learned the extent of his sanction for a piece of abhorrent behaviour during a recent outing.

Inter Miami were back in action earlier this week, locking horns with the Seattle Sounders in the finale of the Leagues Cup.

Lionel Messi and co. headed into the matchup with sights on retaining their title from 2024.

When all was said and done on a disastrous night for Miami, however, they were instead condemned to the wrong side of a 3-0 result.

Amid mounting tensions between the two sides late in the 90, things then took a turn for the worse following the full-time whistle.

The aforementioned Luis Suárez, utterly incensed, was caught on camera spitting in the face of a member of Seattle’s staff.

Fellow Barcelona icon Sergio Busquets, meanwhile, was also spotted directing a (light) punch at Obed Vargas.

And as alluded to above, this weekend, both players have been made aware of their punishments.

In the case of the former, Suárez will not be permitted to feature in any of Inter Miami’s next six outings in the Leagues Cup. Teammate Busquets has also been handed a two-match ban in the competition.
