Official: Barcelona & Real Madrid stars nominated for La Liga Player of the Season | OneFootball

Leading attackers from Spanish football’s two leading clubs have been put forward for the honour of La Liga Player of the Year for 2025/26.

Champions Barcelona are as expected represented by wing prodigy Lamine Yamal.

Lamine is fresh off another spectacular individual campaign on Barca’s right flank, giving rise to 28 direct goal contrbutions in 28 appearances in Spain’s top-flight.

And joining the 18-year-old on the shortlist for La Liga’s best for this past season is Real Madrid frontman Kylian Mbappé.

Despite the tumultuous nature of his campaign, Frenchman Mbappé managed 25 La Liga goals, to clinch his 2nd successive Pichichi prize.

Also included is the 2nd-best goalscorer of the year, in the form of Vedat Muriqi, fresh off finding the net a remarkable 23 times for relegated Mallorca.

And rounding out the list are Real Betis midfield standout Pablo Fornals, and reborn Villarreal wide-man Nicolas Pépé.
