Official: Barcelona sign Juan Ybarra | OneFootball

La Liga champions Barcelona have on Tuesday announced a fresh addition to the club’s academy ranks.

This comes amid confirmation that youngster Juan Ybarra has linked up with the Catalan outfit from CD Tenerife on a contract through 2028.

Ybarra, for his part, is a versatile 22-year-old midfielder/attacker. The Spaniard chiefly operates in an attacking midfield role, but is also more than capable of taking to the pitch on either wing.

He spent this past season plying his trade on the books of the aforementioned Tenerife, racking up 14 goals and four assists across all competitions.

And as alluded to above, such exploits have this week proven enough to earn for Ybarra a move to one of Spanish football’s leading clubs.

As per a statement across the social media platforms of Barcelona:

‘FC Barcelona and CD Tenerife have reached an agreement for the transfer of Juan Ybarra. The midfielder has signed a contract with the club until June 30, 2028, and will strengthen Juliano Belletti’s Barça Atlètic midfield.’
