Official: Barcelona star wins Champions League Golden Boot award | OneFootball

A headline member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona on Saturday night secured for himself an altogether prestigious individual award.

The prize in question? The Champions League Golden Boot.

The finale of European football’s premiere club competition was of course contested in Munich yesterday evening, between Paris Saint-Germain and Inter Milan.

When all was said and done, it was the former who emerged dominant victors, by five goals to nil.

And as alluded to above, joining PSG in celebrating, albeit for an altogether different reason, on Saturday, was Barcelona star Raphinha.

Winger Raphinha is of course fresh off a spectacular campaign in the Champions League, which saw the Brazilian rack up 13 goals and nine assists.

And such exploits have now officially proven enough to secue for the former Leeds United man an individual piece of silverware.

With 13 goals to his name, Raphinha has finished as the Champions League’s joint top-scorer, alongside Serhou Guirassy, enough for a share of the competition’s Golden Boot.
