FC Barcelona are set to kick off their game against Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey soon. Now at the final stage, both teams know that only one game stands between them and lifting the prestigious title. Barcelona know what it takes to beat Los Blancos, however, and they will look to accomplish that again.
Having already met twice before this season, La Blaugrana emerged victorious on both occasions. The most recent of the two was also a cup final, namely the Spanish Super Cup, and Hansi Flick’s team managed to win that game convincingly.
Despite all the controversy and noise surrounding this particular final, however, both teams will be determined to put on a strong fight. For Barcelona in particular, Hansi Flick is hoping to make that possible by fielding a dependable starting eleven.
In goal, Wojciech Szczesny starts for the Catalan giants as he looks to keep Real Madrid at bay. While Marc-Andre Ter Stegen is available and in the squad as well, the Polish goalkeeper still has Hansi Flick’s backing.
Ahead of him, Pau Cubarsi and Inigo Martinez form the centre-back partnership. Both players have a great ability to pick out good passes, and their defensive solidity is unquestionable as well. Moreover, they work well together as a duo in the heart of the Barcelona defense.

On their flanks, Jules Kounde and Gerard Martin start for the team. They will be looking to create issues for Real Madrid on the flanks, while simultaneously making sure that Barça remains defensively covered on those same flanks as well.
In the heart of the midfield, Pedri and Frenkie de Jong form the team’s double-pivot. Both players have been exceptional and their partnership is undeniably effective. Both of them will have a lot to do in this game, but they possess the quality to manage it.
Right in front of them, Lamine Yamal and Raphinha occupy the flanks for Barcelona as the two wingers. They will look to make life difficult for Real Madrid, and they will be helped by Dani Olmo in between them as the central attacking midfielder.
Up top, Ferran Torres starts as the team’s primary centre-forward, replacing the injury Robert Lewandowski. He will need to be clinical in this game, but he will also need to put pressure on the opponent effectively and make things as complicated as possible for them.
