Official: Derby County snap up Paderborn's promotion hero Bilbija | OneFootball

Derby County have officially announced the signing of SC Paderborn's Filip Bilbija this evening, Wednesday 22 July.

Despite the deal not surfacing in any rumours in recent days, Bilbija has signed a three-year contract with the Rams.

Furthermore, Bilbija's contract in Paderborn which expired at the end of June, means the Berlin native is a free transfer.

With 15 goals in the regular season and one in the relegation play-offs, the striker was one of the key players in Paderborn's promotion.

Sadly for the club from the eastern half of North-Rhine Westphalia, they will have to make do without the 26-year-old's services.
