Ben Bobzien has completed a permanent move to SG Dynamo Dresden from Mainz.

The club said this afternoon that the forward had developed at Mainz and made his Bundesliga and European debuts, that strong competition and his wish for more playing time prompted the switch, and that he impressed over the past six months in Dresden, as outlined by sporting director Niko Bungert.

The 23-year-old spent last season on loan with the Saxon capital club, recording nine goal contributions.

Leading the line, his influence was credited as one factor in Dresden avoiding relegation to the 3. Liga.

He has also had several loan spells in recent years.
