Official | Joel Mvuka joins Celtic from Lorient | OneFootball

Former Norway youth international Joel Mvuka (23) has joined Scottish giants Celtic from FC Lorient on loan until the end of the season. 

Mvuka joined Lorient back in the summer of 2023, joining on a €5.5m deal from Bodo/Glimt. However, he has never been prolific for Les Merlus. This season, he has two assists in 17 games in all competitions. However, he has started just five league encounters for the Breton club.

Across his time at Lorient, he has made 55 appearances, scoring three goals and registering three assists. However, all three of those goals came in Ligue 2, where he made 30 appearances. The winger now departs Olivier Pantaloni’s side to see out the rest of the season in Scotland.

His transfer was confirmed on transfer deadline day. Mvuka joins on a loan deal that does include the option to make the move permanent come the end of the current campaign.
