Official: Lega Serie A confirm Saudi Arabian Supercoppa Italiana interest for 2025/26 | OneFootball

AC Milan will probably head to Saudi Arabia next year to take part in the Supercoppa Italiana, an announcement this afternoon has confirmed.

It has seemed increasingly likely that the Supercoppa Italiana was going to head back to Saudi Arabia for its next instalment, and this afternoon, Lega Serie A have announced that this is likely to be the case, in a press release on their website.

This morning, the assembly of Lega Serie A took place with all 20 clubs in attendance, and in that call, it was announced that Sela, the ‘Arab organisers’, had once again registered their interest in hosting the competition again.

Alongside this, news about the format of the competition has been revealed, with the organisers, once again, favouring a four-team format, rather than a straight final.

Barring any shocks, that will mean Napoli and Inter will take the final two places in the competition, alongside Bologna and the Rossoneri, who have already stamped their tickets via their place in the Coppa Italia final.

After their successes in the Supercoppa Italiana this year, Milan will hope to recreate the celebrations once again in Saudi Arabia next year, with the fixtures to be announced alongside the Serie A calendar on June 6.
