Former Paris Saint-Germain defender Alec Georgen (27) has joined FC Lorient following the expiry of his contract at USL Dunkerque, it was confirmed on Tuesday.
Georgen, who came through the ranks at PSG, went on to make just one appearance for the first team, prior to his move to Avranches back in 2019. He has since spent time at AJ Auxerre, Concarneau, and most recently USL Dunkerque, who he joined on a free transfer back in 2024. He went on to make 74 appearances for the Ligue 2 side, 34 of which came last season.
However, his contract expired at the end of the season and the former PSG right-back opted against renewing with the club. Instead, he has chosen to join FC Lorient, who, under Olivier Pantaloni, secured a comfortable mid-table finish in Ligue 1 last season.
Georgen has signed a three-year deal with Les Merlus and will wear the No.2 shirt next season.
