An official bid from Manchester City for Eintracht Frankfurt forward Omar Marmoush is expected this weekend, according to Florian Plettenburg.
The Egyptian international has been high on City’s wish list this winter and has verbally agreed upon a move with the club.
It’s unsure how much City will offer for Frankfurt’s star man but the Bundesliga side are holding out for a fee of around €80m.
Frankfurt are known to be hard negotiators, having been able to squeeze €95m out of PSG for Randal Kolo Muani in 2023. While they have also previously received high fees for the likes of Luka Jovic and Sebastien Haller. It is likely that Frankfurt will be equally as hard this time around.
Marmoush is having the best season of his career so far as he has scored 18 goals and 11 assists in 24 games for Frankfurt in all competitions.
Discussions between all parties involved have been positive and constructive so far with everyone happy to move ahead with a deal.
Despite the potential mood, Marmoush is still fully focussed with Frankfurt and is expected to start against St. Pauli this weekend.
